Review: Heat Protectant Dove vs. Tresemme

I have used both of these heat protectant products, Dove was the first "spray" for heat protectant I ever used back when it came in a orange bottle with a slightly different formula. But originally the first heat protectant I used came from Tresemme, it came it a squeeze bottle in a gel form it was from the same thermal creations line as the spray comes from.
I am currently using the Dove Heat Defense Protect & Shine Mist. Dove recently changed the formula for their heat protectant spray to a weightless formula with mirco moisture serum. It does seem different from the first form of the spray. Definitely weightless as long as you don't use it in excess. You only need two pumps at the least all over. I really like the smell of it and the sleek bottle.
The Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray is probably the most popular at the drugstore. It comes with a squirt nozzle pump which lets you control the spray a little. I feel like this weighted down my hair a little bit and made it sticky at times, Maybe I was using too much? But I think it gets the job done as well.
I really like both of these sprays, they work well. I probably slightly prefer the Dove one. they are both equally comparable in protecting your hair from heat damage.

Review: Maybelline Fit me! Foundation and Concealer

A couple weeks ago I purchased Maybelline's Fit me! Foundation and Concealer. I was looking for a new foundation and concealer since I ran out. I saw the commercials for it on tv and it looked like it would suit me. I never really used liquid foundation before, just clinque's tinted moisturizer and aqua makeup the comes in a tube. I really can't remember but I think I may have used liquid foundation as my first foundation. other than that I was using either cream foundation or powder. I don't really have any problems with my skin so i don't need that much coverage either. The Fit me! foundation is very reasonably priced only around $7. I am the shade 220. The foundation comes in a pour bottle, you have to be careful because it pours out a little too fast and you only need very little of the product. I use my hands to apply it I find it works best for me and I don't have foundation brushes and I really don't think I need to buy any. The thing I don't like about this foundation is that it is greasy, idk if all liquid foundations are but I don't like the greasiness. It is very lightweight, it doesn't feel like you have anything on. It is not heavy coverage. I also purchased the Fit me! concealer. The concealer is nothing special works just like every other one. It comes in a tube like a lip gloss and has a doe foot applicator. It blends well and works great for me. I also want to try out the powder as well.

Products I Love Review: Garnier Fructis

I've been using Garnier Triple Nutrition Shampoo for about sic months now & it has become my favorite shampoo. I love that it is a thick gel shampoo not watery at all and it really works as it says. It has a fresh clean scent. I use this shampoo because my hair tends to dry out because I use a lot of heat. This shampoo replenishes the moisture lost and keeps my hair looking healthy.

Another product that I've been using from the triple nutrition line is the Nutrient spray which is a mix of olive, avocado, and shea. You can even seen the layers in the bottle. My hair gets really dry after straightening so I use this spray to add moisture and keep it smooth & soft. It works wonders, you only need 2-3 sprays to avoid making your hair greasy if too much is applied.

I just recently purchased the sleek & shine anti-humidity smoothing milk. I bought because i needed something to tame my frizz from the heat & humidity and from straightening it. When I first tried out the product it really did not work to well maybe because my hair was really frizzy from the combination of humidity and straightening it. After a couple uses it works really well at taming my frizz. I would recommend just like the spray as using it in small amounts to avoid having too much product in your hair. I usually use it on my towel dried hair after a shower. I find that works the best.

Review: Maybelline Eye Studio Eye Shadow Quads

You've probably seen these quads from maybelline at your local drugstore. They have been out for awhile now and I have collected a few. I've seen these products get very mixed reviews I guess it depends on the quality eye shadow your used to and what you compare it to. I actually really like the quads. They are very versatile I like to mix them in with other eye shadows both high end and drugstore and they work very well together and you can create a ton of different looks. I also use the quads as a look together. I usually take the lightest color and put it in the inner corner then I take the next color and pit it on the entire lid and the third color I put in the crease and outer corner. I usually just use the first three for a casual day look because the 4th color is usually really dark so I would use it for a night look or if i was going somewhere special. I own three of the quads at the moment they are...

70 Copper Chic- probably my favorite that I own very wearable colors, a champagne color, a pinkish light copper color, a golden brown copper color, and a reddish dark copper color.

90 Irresistibly Ivy- The mix of colors is really different, this is probably my least favorite quad (bought it first though the green color caught my eye it is very unique) but I have found good uses for this quad. The bad thing about this quad is that the colors look terrible together and don't blend together at all. I wouldn't advise to wear them together but they work very well separately. The first color is a nude color which I have found doesn't work with really any look though it could be used for a base, I use it as a powdered form concealer to set under my eyes it really works well for that. The second color is an orangey bronze color probably my least favorite color because it doesn't look very good with my skin tone but it would probably work better for darker skin tones. The third color is a gorgeous aquamarine i have used this color mixed with silver's and dark blues and created a very pretty look. It works best when mixed with other eyeshadows in a look. The fourth color I really like as well its a dark burgundy and I usually use it in a look where I where mac's sable on the lid and the burgundy in the crease.

50 Taupe Tempress- I really like this quad as well its a mix of pinks with silvers. The first color is a vivid white, the second is a very light berry pink, the third is a silver gray, and the fourth is a very dark berry it appears to be lighter than it is but it definitely has charcoal mixed in it so it comes out as a dark gray with berry reflects.

New Favorites From Liplicious

A few weeks ago i recently purchased two new Liplicious flavors from Bath & Body Works. The first one I was eying for a while is part of the summer collection I got the White Hot Summer Fling in "Coconut Fizz". This flavor is a sweet light coconut a very beachy flavor. The formula is a clear sheer gloss. The other lipgloss I got was the Forever Sunshine flavor one of the new collections at Bath & Body Works. I was surprised how much I like this flavor. The taste is very hard to describe kind of like a mix of honey its very different thats probably why I like it so much. The formula is sheer and sparkley with a hint of a golden tint.

Quick Tip: How to fake eyeliner when you run out

I ran out of my eyeliner a couple days ago and I hate when that happens and i'm not able to run to the store to get some. I did go last week and walmart was sold out of eyeliner! That makes me mad. Well anyways a trick i came up with to "fake" having eyeliner on to add definition to your eyes by taking a small shadow brush (I use one from sonia kashuk) and placing black eyeshadow on the brush (I use the black from the Maybelline Stylish Smokes Charcoal Quad) and applying it on the bottom lash line. I tried it today and it seemed to stay on the entire school day without using any primer either. Its a good trick to use if you want a similar look of eyeliner if you don't have any on hand. Let me know your thoughts on this and if it helps. The products I used are shown below.

Liplicious Lip Gloss Review/Haul

I went to the mall yesterday stopped by bath & body works, I wanted t get some new lipglosses since I really don't have many at the moment. I couldn't resist because they were having a sale buy 2 get one free. I got my first Liplicious as a gift for a secret santa exchange at my school. The flavor I got was Strawberry Daquri & got addicted to it. I got the flavors shown above.
Saltwater Taffy- which tastes just like saltwater taffy which I love! Its sheer light purple, Blue Colada- which is my absolute favorite I tried it first and had to have it. It tastes like something so familiar like a drink I can't remember but its one of the best flavors of lipgloss I have ever tried. Its sheer light greenish blue, & Passionfruit Guava-which is very fruity flavor. Its not sheer so it has a little bit more color a pinky coral color.
These lipglosses are definitely worth the money in my opinion. The quality & the flavors are very incomparable to any other brand of lipgloss I have tried. Compared to drugstore brands I have tried in the past the flavor & the quality isn't as good. The are also really good for on the go you can slip them into your pocket, your purse, your school bag, or whatever. I will most like go back and purchase some more.
